Erie was incorporated in 1885 as a mining town. Today, Erie boasts a strong community atmosphere with a culture rich in arts. It is home to the Art Center of Erie and also an Art Coalition which represents about 70 artists. Erie also has a new community center and library. In addition, there is a vast array of community events each year including the Erie Town Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival. Come see all that this community has to offer today!
